Biddy Basketball

Dear Parents,

Registration for Farnam's Youth Basketball Program is underway, and will be held every Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm and Friday evenings 5:30pm-8:00pm. Boys and Girls ages 6-14 are eligible to register. The cost is $75.00

The program is designed to teach young players the fundamentals of the game and to provide opportunities for learning about teamwork and good sportsmanship. Games are played every Saturday mornings for Training division and Saturday afternoons for Minor division with Wednesday evening games for the Major division. When all the players have been recruited, the teams will be formed and a schedule of practices will be handed out. In an effort to balance all teams, there will be evaluation sessions for each player on Friday and Saturday during October Registration period. The final evaluation sessions for anyone who missed the October session will be held on the following days: 

Major Division Evaluation (Ages 12-14)-Friday November 11th- 6:00-8:30pm

Training Division Evaluation (Ages 5-9)-Saturday November 12th- 9:00am-12:00pm

Minor Division Evaluation (Ages 10-12)-Saturday November 12th- 1:00pm-4:00pm

*All players must attend to be placed on a team

League play will begin on Saturday December 3rd for Training and Minor Divisions and Wednesday December 7th for Major Division. The cut off date for registration will be November 19th, and coaches will start to call players for practices during the week of November 14th. All fees MUST be paid by November 19th 2011. Players will be placed on team when paid in full.

At the conclusion of the season, during the first week of April you will be invited to attend our annual banquet which honors all players, teams, and coaches. Yale University's Athletic Department hosts the banquet at the Lanman Center/Payne Whitney Gymnasium.

Players, parents and spectators are expected to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner at all times.  Anyone who chooses to act inappropriately at practices or games will be asked to leave the premises.  We have zero tolerance for foul language and poor sportsmanship.
