Welcome to the Farnam Neighborhood House! The Farnam Neighborhood House is New Haven's oldest neighborhood center, tracing its' roots to the "Settlement House" movement of the turn of the century. Through a rich and storied tradition of service and support for over 95 years, Farnam Neighborhood House has been a "home away from home" for thousands of individuals and families.

Through changing times, relocations and mergers, Farnam has evolved into a thriving multi-service neighborhood center which provides a continuum of services for people of all ages. Our programs reflect the diversity of those we serve, and we are dedicated to the ideal of helping the neighborhood to help itself by helping to develop in all people the capacity to carry responsibility through sharing and planning.
